Autocad 2007 Install On Windows 7
Maybe someone here can help. Official AutoDesk Site is of no use on this I have found. I have AutoCAD 2007 standalone permanent license, and my software nolonger runs due to a 'License Error', and the recommended solution is to re-install the software. Unfortunately I no longer have the install files. Where Can I download the install Package. AutoDesk Virtual Agent only goes back to 2013.
The links on my AutoDesk account for a completely different Subscription only has options to request back to 2012. Well intersting suggestion, I tried this and it asked for the disk, of course.
I was able to get a copy of a disk image of the 2007 install disk (ACAD.MSI, etc), and tried the repair (same outcome), tried complete reinstall after a full cleanout (steps suggested by AutoDesk Support pages), etc. It is on Windows 7 64bit. Understand that 2007 is not 64 bit itself, however, it ran on this computer before (and also I work for another company where they have a 2007 running on a Win 7 64 bit). Error Message in regular mode is as above. Error Message in safe mode is: ' A license stem error has occured. You must ininstall and reinstall this product to initialize the license management system. License status [1.1.98]' (Uninstall and reinstall as above, I am getting the same result).??
I have recently purchased a new system, upgrading to a 64 bit system with Windows 7 (home edition). I would like to install an AutoCAD program on the new computer. From the AutoCad website: Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of AutoCAD® 2010 and AutoCAD® LT® 2010 are compatible with and supported on Microsoft Windows® 7. Autodesk does not officially support 2009 and older versions of AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT on Windows 7. If you choose to run older versions of AutoCAD on the Windows 7 operating system, you may opt to use Windows compatibility mode. I would try to install in Compatibility Mode for XP or Vista.
If you have an older application for Windows XP or Vista that doesn't run in Windows 7, you may be able to get it working properly by running the program in compatibility mode. To begin, find the application or shortcut that is causing the problem, then right click on it and select Properties. Then, select Compatibility from the tabbed menu at the top of the properties page: 3. Now, check the 'Run this program in compatibility mode for.' Box and select the OS you wish to emulate. For most applications, it will be Windows XP SP2.
Once you are done, click OK. When you next launch the application it should run under compatibility mode using the OS you selected. If it still fails to run correctly, try another OS selection in step 3 and try again.
