I have a GT-100 and I'm in the process of developing specific patches for my needs. Windows server 2012 standard. I'm having some difficulty in assigning Effects to the PL and ACC/CTL pedals for some reason.

I've read the manual. Watched a couple of vid's. But I just am not getting it for some reason (???). I know you have to turn off the PL, go under the 1-8 Assigns, and assign an Effect to that pedal. I guess I need someone to hold my hand once through from beginning to end so I can finally grasp this proceedure.

To be more specific, I would like to have an OD, Delay, and Reverb come one with the touch of one pedal with in that patch. Then maybe EQ or Chorus come on with the touch of the other one (PL and ACC that is.) Also, one last thing. Is there away to change the type of EQ in the chain or 'Assign'? I thought I saw a 10 band EQ available but have no idea how to swap it for the the Parametric one that's there currently (???) ----> I just know my way around better on a graphic EQ. Just some history. I'm a big Tube Amp/Pedal Board guy looking to make the jump over to the all in one Modler unit - My goal is to run direct into the PA/FOH in Stereo. I've picked up Glenn's patch bundle which has some pretty nice tones in it, but I've been tweaking to get patches dialed in for 'Me' thus far (I'll post clips in about a week once I get things more dialed in.) I've done the 'Calibrate' thing already, and I've read and watched pretty much everything out there I could on the GT-100 (and HD500 for that matter).

In the end the GT-100 sounded better to my ears by a small margin. I'm also open to any other suggestions and 'Tricks/Tips' you guys have Thanks in advance, Rick. Thanks a TON! I'll have to try and mess with all that later this evening. Hopefully that'll work as I feel that process should be 'Easy'. But yet it's throwing me for a loop I did manage to download the FX FloorBoard but haven't had a chance to try it out yet. Most of the adjustments I've been doing thus far have been with the Boss Tone Studio.

I was able to come up with a few patches from scratch.and a few more that I reworked ones I had downloaded. Here's a link to some of those tones/sounds I've come up with thus far. Thanks again! So I'm still tweaking things here, and since I mostly play 'Super Strat' type guitars with an H/S/S set up, I set out today to make some good 'Single Coil' patches for Strats. I think they are 'OK' for the most part. I was using my SRV Strat that has Texas Specials in the Mid and Neck, but a TB-5 in the bridge (I didn't use the HB). I will post all the patches I have once I get the other pedal functions down completely (See below ).

Here's a link to the clip on my SoundClick page (Please ignore the playing as Blues is really not my thing and I don't know the material or 'Style' that well. ) GT-100 Patches for 'Strat' I'm still have some major difficulty in utilizing the Assign feature to control FX's with the PL and CTL pedals.

I think what I really need to be able to do is when I engage the PL, I'd like to have it either change the setting on the OD and Delay that was currently already 'ON'. But I just need a different setting. Either that or have it shut the Current one off and Turn on the same pedal with a different setting(s).? I didn't think I was this retarded. I'm mostly using the FxFloorBoard Editor and Boss Tone Studio.

So any specific instructions on using those would be greatly appreciated! I'm not in front of my GT-100 right now but I think there is a global setting for the PL pedal that you may have to change in order to use it for assigns within patches. Also, when using the Accel pedal, I think you also have to change it in the CTL/EXP settings to LED or it will only control Accel FX. Check those 2 things then, if you haven't already, use the setting Gumtown pposted and you should be good to go.

You can absolutely use either pedal to toggle just about anything in a patch including different settings for the same effect or even toggling the type of effect ( including the settings ) within a FX block. I've set the footswitches up in the past to toggle from a Chorus to a Flange in FX1 and each with specific settings and it works like a champ. Just set the first effect/parameters, save the patch, change the effect type/parameters and hit save again. Should toggle between them with the settings you had when you hit save. Ok thanks again guys! I watched that Video like a billion times.

He just jumps around so fast from different things I can't see/tell what's going on. I've been able to get the Accel/CTL pedal to work a little bit. But the PL just doesn't want to cooperate for some reason. In some of Glenn's patches it's already set up and works.

But say if I want it to turn on Tremolo which is assigned to FX1 inside of one of my patches. I can't get it to actually turn on/off the pedal. If the pedal (FX1) is already on. Then I can change the specs/controls of the Tremolo.???

I have tried something similar where I tried to increase drive as I picked harder but couldn't seem to get a gradual increase. If this can be made to work gradually based on input level I am going to experiment with modulation depth to increase the depth on light picking/low input vol and decrease the depth as the picking gets more intense.

This makes me love my Boss GT-001.

Of course, your own guitar will affect the tone you get, so we’re including recommendations with each patch as to whether you should use a single coil (“SC”) or a humbucker (“Hum”). If you have both types, try using the suggested pickup first. • Rich Eckhardt is one of the most sought after guitarists in Nashville.
